Quilt Choreography: A One Woman Show
February 1 - April 30, 2018
Trinity Episcopal Church
Six years ago God closed the door on dance and opened the door on quilting for Margaret Brewster Willingham, the founder and creative force of Eye of the Beholder Quilt Design. Since 2012 Ms. Willingham has been following God's leading to add beauty to the world with her original quilt pattern designs. Now she spends her time choreographing quilts instead of dances.
Come experience her quilt journey of color and design, including her competition quilts, through 16 select pieces on display in Quilt Choreography: A One Woman Quilt Show.
Much of her work has been inspired by architecture of the Victorian era, transcribing architectural designs into elegant quilts. And in the process, she has developed an easier creation method for hand or machine reverse applique.
Ms. Willingham has had quilt pattern designs published in Fons & Porter's Magazine, Quilt Blocks 100 and Broomfield Patterns; had patterns picked up by Keepsake Quilting, Nancy's Notions and Annie's.com; and designs patterns for Island Batiks, Batik Textiles, RJR Fabrics, Timeless Treasures, and EBI Fabrics.
