All About the Stitching: Hand Reverse Applique (Class 163)

October 31, 2:00 - 5:00 pm

taught by Margaret Willingham

held at the George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, TX

Do you want to improve your hand stich-work?  Then this is the class for you.

Come, practice and refine your hand stitch work for reverse appliqué and appliqué.  We will use a pattern developed specifically for this purpose. Do your practicing on this piece rather than on a design you care about.

Learn the tips and tricks to stitch sharp 90° and acute outside points, crisp inside points without frays, and smooth curves/ circles as you learn the easy steps in Eye of the Beholder’s trace, baste, snip and stitch process to hand reverse appliqué.  Explore the tools you use, the role of trimming and clipping to your success, body mechanics, how to hold your piece, and more. Get tips & pointers on how to hand stitch like a pro. (You can peruse our Blogs: tutorial section for some of those tips.)  All you learn is applicable to both hand reverse appliqué and hand appliqué. You’ll be glad you did.

Sign up now! Class enrolments are open on their website: https://www.quilts.com/classes/.
