materials required:
background fabric: 1 FQ - ½ yard (18 in x 18 in)
top fabric:1 FQ - ½ yard (18 in x 18 in). 1/2 yard gives enough for the top fabric on the front and the back of a pillow
if using applique for flowers: add fat quarter or scraps for blossoms
batting: ½ yard (18 in x 18 in) [for blocks, this is not needed until you stitch the whole thing together]
for machine reverse applique: you will also need ½ yd. (18 in x 18 in) of Soft Fuse or Flexi-Fuse
for pillow version:
16 in x 16 in pillow form
backing: FQ (18 in x 18 in) muslin for quilted pillow top before assembling pillow or pillow sham.
OPTIONAL: 2 yards of store-bought piping
OPTIONAL: 1” velcro or 1-3 buttons for pillow sham closure
