All About the Stitching:Machine-Virtual Class

  • Eye of the Beholder Quilt Design 2324 Carriage Dr Milliken United States (map)

Treat yourself to this half day class, Jan. 15, 9:00 am - 12:30 pm (MT), that is an opportunity to simply practice and refine your machine satin stitching, without worrying about the pattern. In the process we will have a lesson on our trace, snip, iron & stitch method.

No matter your experience you will pick up tips to help you grow in your machine satin stitch skills as they apply to reverse applique. The pattern we will use is an imminently practical teaching tool complete with 90 degree inside and outside points/ corners; acute inside and outside points; and inside and outside curves and reverse applique circles. No more “xes” on points or gaps on curves. Your stitches will be perpendicular to your raw edge, solid and smooth. We will look at machine buttonhole stitch, too, if there is group interest.

We will explore body position and mechanics for health and stitching longevity, and stretching/ strengthening as well.

Plus we will share the joy of stitching together. I promise you will improve without pressure and find greater pleasure.
