This virtual event is open to guilds, shops and individuals at a low cost through the Global Quilt Connection. Participants get a one page PDF from each teacher, often with a project pattern, and have access to the video for 72 hours. The complete schedule of presenters is below as is registration information.

Method 2: Join pieced blocks with a Spacer strip and Sashing

Margaret will present Layer 1st. Quilt 2nd. Assemble 3rd. on Sunday, September 29, 3:00 - 6:00 pm (ET) .

Margaret will demonstrate Quilt-As-You-Go techniques in Layer 1st. Quilt 2nd,.& Assemble 3rd. Let her teach you how it’s the right order. Using blocks, she will share 1-2 of 3 methods she knows for joining already quilted blocks.

Methods 1 is used for joining already quilted plain and/ or appliqué blocks with sashing, and method 2 , using an added spacer and a sashing strip, is used for joining pieced blocks. If time allows, Margaret will share both these methods.

Learn how the handy sasher tool and Roxanne’s basting glue makes joining quilted blocks/ sections of a quilt a breeze.

Margaret will be demonstrating the Quilt-As-You-Go techniques with blocks but you can construct a quilt in sections, larger than blocks. You can also employ more than one joining method on a single quilt.

There is a 3rd method that is beyond the scope of our time frame.

Be inspired and have some fun! To find out more about our techniques please visit the Technique Tutorials and Blogs on our website, www.eobquiltdesign.com .

Method 2, spacer strips & sashing, used to join quilted sections of “Grandmother’s Kitchen Quilt XX” (64” x 82”)..

Method 1 used to join blocks of this version of the Victorian Flower Garden Quilt (48” x 48”)
