- May 15, 10 am – 4 pm: Day 1- Reverse Appliqué by hand or machine & Under-coloring
- May 22, 10 am – 4 pm: Day 2 - Reverse Appliqué & Over-coloring (Appliqué)
- May 29, 10 am – 4 pm: Day 3 – Paper-piecing the border.
- June 5, 10 am – 4 pm: Day 4 – quilt top assembly, layering & quilting.

Wow your friends and family and add a touch of elegance to your life with Glorious, Medallion XV (42” x 42”). You choose whether you make it by hand or machine, as both methods will be taught in this workshop. It looks hard, but it’s not. It’s easy to create multiple dimensions as you layer fabrics and stitch. Spend Day 1 & 2 having stitching fun as you create the 28” Sunburst center medallion by hand or machine reverse applique with our easy 4-step method. In our time together I will teach you how to stitch clean inside & outside points and smooth graceful curves, whether you make it by hand or machine. You will love the results you get.
On Day 3 we will learn paper-piecing, step-by-step to create the borders. Simply follow the numbers and the colors, stitch, trim, flip, and repeat. By the end of Day 4 your quilt top will be assembled and layered and possibly you will have started quilting it.
Day one, learn how to Under-color and reverse appliqué by hand & machine.
On day two we will continue our reverse applique stitching and add the Over-coloring appliqué.
Day three we will paper-piece and assemble the border.
Day four we will construct the quilt top, layer, and begin quilting.
I will lead you step by step through the process, start to finish, empowering you to do reverse appliqué and appliqué by hand or machine, paper-piecing, assembling, layering, and quilting!

Required: Glorious Medallion XV pattern. Pattern available at Sew Downtown and in our shop.
Glorious Medallion XV has a 28” reverse appliqué center medallion employing Under-coloring and Over-coloring, surrounded by a paper-pieced border. Pattern includes full-sized pattern pieces, Paper-piece foundation patterns and instructions for hand and machine reverse appliqué and applique, and quilt top assembly.
