Shooting Stars:
Machine Reverse Appliqué with Appliqué
A Virtual Class for the Confident Beginner
Saturday, June 11, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm (MT)
Reverse appliqué gives a unique, dimensional look that’s surprisingly easy to do! The peek-a-boo design is made in the background fabric...the negative space…peeking out of the top fabric! For extra dimensional fun the red star is appliqued inside a white reverse appliqué star of our Shooting Star block.
Our trace, snip, iron & stitch method for machine reverse appliqué means you can create this dimensional beauty in no time at all. In class we will make 1 placemat (16” x 16”), with its single Shooting Star block, 4 applique stars and bunting swags, and explore our appli-quilting option; all by machine reverse applique with applique. Learn the quick steps in Eye of the Beholder’s process to easily machine reverse appliqué with appliqué, and get pointers on how to satin stitch like a pro.
Come be empowered as you make a placemat. Make it in red, white and blue as we did, or re- imagine it in your colors. Learn with others and experience the fun and beauty of reverse appliqué with appliqué by machine.
See the exploding red, white & blue dimensional beauty of the 8” Shooting Star block for Shooting Stars table décor set pattern revealed as you stitch. The Shooting Stars table décor set pattern has complete directions for a table runner and 4 placemats, made by hand or machine.
