Reverse appliqué gives a unique, dimensional look to a quilted piece because the design is made in the background fabric...the negative space…peeking out of the top fabric! Come learn some simple ways to beautify your quilts and wow others by mixing reverse applique with applique. Choose to make the multi-dimensional The Crowns- Crown or Tiara block - full of color, depth, and texture - using our signature simple and effective method - Trace, Baste, Snip & Stitch - for applique and reverse applique by hand!

It’s fun and easy. You’ll see the reverse applique design recede. Then create more dimension by adding applique elements to the design. Consider mixing your fibers and see new dimensions give life to your creation.

See how easily you can hand stitch when you trace, baste, snip & stitch, and get pointers on your hand stitch work. See the dimensional beauty of the pattern revealed as you stitch.

We will cover both hand and machine basting techniques.
