AQS Countdown to Christmas with Margaret
Are you ready for 3 weeks of quilting fun? Come along and make the FREE Holiday Blooms pattern and fill your home with poinsettias of Good Cheer and wishes for Success.
Join me on AQS Countdown to Christmas starting December 2nd, and follow along to make our Holiday Blooms quilted décor pattern by machine reverse applique. Holiday Blooms finishes at 21” square for hanging on your wall or using as a centerpiece. It takes no time at all to create when you make it by machine.
I designed this pretty Poinsettia pattern just for AQS for 2020. And the pattern is FREE on the AQSblog.com. Poinsettias are a traditional Christmas flower but carry a poignant message, meaning good cheer and success, to counteract this trying year.
This AQS program is open and free to everyone.
You’ll want to join the AQS Countdown to Christmas Facebook Group to see videos of gathering your supplies, making the piece and the final wrap-up and posting pictures of what you created. The pattern is FREE from the AQSblog.com as a PDF that will be emailed to you, as is the supply list.
The fun begins December 2.
December 2: You find out what supplies you need to gather. A supply list is available as a PDF download on the AQSblog.com. And to make it really easy for you we have convenient fabric kits, including the fusible, in 4 colorways available on our website. 2 in Christmas colorways…Green/ red poinsettia or Red poinsettia; and 2 in springy colorways…Pink or Purple. Our kits include the fusible, too. While you’re gathering your supplies consider purchasing some Terial Magic, Soft Fuse or Kai 4” sharp tipped scissors from our shop so you’re ready to begin making on December 9th.
December 9: The FREE pattern will be available on the AQSblog.com and you’ll get access to a Holiday Blooms Making instructions video, from start to finish on the AQS Countdown to Christmas Facebook Group . It includes details of reverse appliqueing good satin stitches on all those inside points and curves; and how-to quilt reverse applique to good affect.
December 16: It’s Holiday Blooms wrap-up. You’ll see my Holiday Blooms samples all done and in their environment and on the AQS Countdown to Christmas Facebook Group you’ll see other quilters’ pieces.
Throughout the 3 weeks of making Holiday Blooms I’ll be checking on the group page to answer questions.
Coming soon I’ll be releasing in blogs instructions for making a long table runner and placemats using this free Holiday Blooms pattern, too.
So I invite you to join in the fun of the AQS Countdown to Christmas and to fill your home and the homes of those you love with Good Cheer and success with Holiday Blooms.
See you on the AQS Countdown to Christmas Facebook Group
