Grandmother’s Kitchen is an intermediate level quilt pattern for hand or machine reverse applique and applique. It was inspired by pictures a friend took of old wall decor she unearthed when she renovated her kitchen. This wallpaper layer was likely from the 30’s or 40’s. I loved the charming designs. The design came together when Island Batik put out the design call for these Flour Sack collection batiks. What you have before you is the creative result of all these elements coming together. to make this Quilt that evokes memories of 100 different “Grandmother’s” kitchens of cozy love and warm food.

We quilted and then assembled using a Quilt-as-you-go method. We give step-by-step instructions for how to do this.. A 1/2” Sasher tool is needed for this QAYG method. We sell the print pattern with the 1/2” sasher included or without it. The PDF pattern does NOT include the 1/2” sasher, but can be purchased separately.

Pattern has complete creation instructions using Eye of the Beholder’s Trace, Baste, Snip & Stitch technique, supported by Technique Tutorials and blogs on this website, and full-size, durable pattern pieces.  There’s never a need to enlarge the pattern or re-position fabric.

What is a Pattern PDF and how do I print it?

A Pattern PDF is a digital file of the complete pattern instructions and full-size pattern pieces.  You will also be emailed Welcome Notes.

After purchase, a link to the Pattern PDF will be sent to you automatically – click the link to get your pattern.  This link expires after 24 hours, but we can re-send it to you if you have any trouble. Just email us at admin@eobquiltdesign.com

• Pattern booklet prints on 8.5” x 11” paper and can be printed on an in-home printer.

• The full-size pattern pieces will need to be put on a USB stick and taken to a copy shop that can print in large format, or Read the blog, Printing Our PDF Digital Patterns at Home (3/18/2020) to make sure you can print on your in-home printer. Make sure to do all printing at FULL-SIZE.

• This will be an additional expense for you. However, a Pattern PDF is priced at 25% off the print pattern price because of this additional expense to you.

• Please check in your area that you have a copy shop that can print the pattern for you before purchasing. PDF patterns are non-returnable/ non-refundable.
