Twinkling Star Ornaments KIT- Kit for John C. Campbell Folk School Class

Kit includes top quality batiks to make Ornaments 1, 2 and 3 from the Twinkling Stars Ornament pattern. You get to learn 3-techniques while having fun: Machine reverse applique, machine applique and paper-piecing with the patterns easy to follow directions.

Take the guess work out with our convenient, curated fabric kits in classic and festive colorways, including red, golden yellows, green and white with a soft yellow accents for ornament 3, or Royal purple, Yellow, and Red; Colorways to make your ornaments sparkle on your tree. Kit also includes needed Flexi-fuse, your PP Foundation, and 3- color coordinated Hanging Ribbons.

Kit 3 is the Workshop kit for Quilting Ornaments: Twinkle, Twinkle Little Stars! being taught by Margaret via Lessonface for the John C. Campbell Folk School on October 20th & 27th, 2025. Kit cost is included in class fee, but select colorway.

Other products that may be helpful are the Paper -Piecing Foundation sheets for Ornament 3, Kai 4” bent-handled sharp tipped scissors for cutting out Ornament 1, and once you’ve fallen in love with our fusible, you’ll want to stock up on Flexi-Fuse. You can find them all in the notions section of our shop.

Kit 1 is Fabric only and includes:

Yardage makes 3 Ornaments; one of each kind. Ornaments 1 & 2 finish at 4 in. x 4 in. Ornament 3 finishes at 4 1/2” x 4 1/2”.

Open-toed sewing machine foot strongly recommended for making all the ornaments.

For both kits you will need to provide:

Batting:

  • 2 - 4” x 4” squares, Ornament 1 & 2

  • 1- 4 1/2” x 4 1/2” square, Ornament 3

Ornament 1 & 2:

  • Thread- 1 spool each of 50 wt. the same color as top/ applique fabric

  • Sewing machine needles- 75/11 or 80/12

Ornament 3:  

  • Thread- 1 spool of 50 wt. White and yellow for paper-piecing and quilting

  • Sewing Machine Needles - 90/14

  • Glue stick or spray adhesive, Perfect Piecing Foundation sheets* recommended
