Learn how fun and easy reverse needle-turn appliqué by hand is while you create the beautiful Lily, Rose or Sunflower pattern (16” x 16”) from Eye of the Beholder’s Victorian Flower Garden Quilt IV. Enjoy seeing the beautiful drama that’s created with two contrasting fabrics. You’ll learn our signature Trace, Baste, Snip & Stitch method that turns hand reverse appliqué into a labor of love. The process I use gives you great control over your piece, allowing you to have sharp points, crisp corners and graceful circles, even for the tiniest of pieces. You will love the results you get as you create your own beautiful hand-stitched flower block, and you don’t get hung up on the pins. I will lead you step by step through the process, start to finish, empowering you to do reverse needle-turn appliqué by hand, do it like a pro and enjoy it! Layering and finishing will not be part of the scope of this class, but will be discussed.

Take note: The focus of this workshop is reverse appliqué. To that end we will be making the reverse appliqué (two-color/ two-fabric version) of the flowers. The pattern includes directions for a reverse appliqué with appliqué (multiple fabrics) version, which we can cover for those who want to make the blossoms as applique, a 3rd fabric color.
