The Lollipop Flower pattern required for this class is included for free in the cost of the class. The PDF pattern will be emailed to you once you have paid. The Lollipop Flower PDF pattern prints on 8.5” x 11” paper on in-home printers. Just print at full-size. There is an optional notions kits for this class. In addition we have all the notions you need to make this pattern successfully.
Optional Accessory Kit: Machine Accessory Kit is a convenient startup kit with the necessary tools for machine reverse applique. The Kit comes with 1 – 21” x 1 yard piece of Flexi-Fuse; 1 – 16 oz. Terial Magic; Kai 4” bent-handled, sharp-tipped scissors for machine work.

Required pattern, purchased separately: Beehive and Tudor Rose Mug Rug: pattern - available in print or PDF
1 – 8 ½” x 8 ½” square Medium/Dark batik, top fabric *
1 – 8 ½” x 8 ½” square Light batik, background fabric *
1 – 9” x 9” square Medium/Dark backing fabric
1 – 9” x 9” square batting
1 – 8” x 8” square Accent batik, appliqué flower parts parts*
1 – 4” x 4” square Accent batik, under-color Leaves*
2 – 8” x 8” squares Flexi-Fuse, (paper-backed iron-on fusible)
Terial Magic spray-on stabilizer (or 1 – 8” x 8” add-in stabilizer of your choosing) *
5 safety pins and several straight pins for pin basting
Mechanical pencil or other marking implement for tracing pattern onto paper side of Soft Fuse

Sewing machine that has a zig-zag stitch

After checking your supplies at home, please be sure to order everything you need from the website so you are properly prepared. Having the right tools will make all the difference in the world for your pleasure and success. Remember, in a Virtual class there will not be a product table for you to purchase items from during class if you find your tools are not working. I would hate for you to be frustrated and discouraged. I truly desire for you to have the best possible experience in my class.
Preparation Skill Buster: Machine Reverse Applique PLUS - Tudor Rose Mug Rug/ Potholder
Please come to class with:
Purchase the required pattern prior to class.
Read the pattern paying particular attention to the section on Machine Reverse Appliqué with Appliqué – 2 color & 3 color option beginning on page 6 - 9, including the section for Adding the Under-color fabrics, and do the steps for Trace – 1 & 2 (Trace your Tudor Rose pattern) and Iron - 1 & 2.
Please come to class with:
1 – 8” x 8” square Flexi-Fuse with the entire Tudor Rose pattern traced onto the paper side, ironed onto the wrong side of an 8 ½” x 8 ½” square of Top fabric. Be sure to center the Flexi-Fuse square before ironing.
1 – 4” x 4” square of fabric for appliqué of the flower parts (either same as top or accent color).
1 – 4” x 4” square of fabric for under-color leaves
1 – 8” x 8” square Flexi-Fuse with flower parts and leaves traced onto it.
1 - 9” x 9” square of Background fabric.
1 - 9” x 9” square of batting
Threads (40,50 wt., or Floriani embroidery thread) for stitching (SAME COLORS as top/ appliqué fabric
1 pair small, sharp scissors
5 safety pins and several straight pins for pin basting
